Enjoy 2 days of skiing or riding at Le Massif. Known for its view and its 52 trails and glades sprawling over 307.6 acres, Le Massif de Charlevoix is the highest vertical east of the Canadian Rockies ( 770 m or 2,526 ft)! Located in Petite-Rivière-Saint François, Charlevoix, Québec, a 50-minute drive from Quebec City, it is one of the few ski areas that is accessible from both the base and summit.
Only a reasonable 15 minute drive from our hotel, we’ll carpool in the OUTSLOPES van to and from the mountain daily.

Located above the train station, dormitory rooms offer four single-folding beds. This guest room includes personal space for storing luggage, resting and reading. The bathroom is equipped with individual sinks and a common shower.

Flight add-ons are available at an additional cost. Packages do not include food or beverages, which are extra, as desired on-site. Packages are sold per person. Private Rooms have 1 Queen bed for 1 person. Couple rooms are best suited to couples, as there is 1 Queen bed. Additional fees for second person are for additional person’s skiing. You must book both occupants at the same time. Dormitory rooms are sold per bed. There are 4 beds per room. You will be assigned roommates to fill up the room, to a maximum of 4 persons. Dormitory bookings are not confirmed until we can fill up a room.
OUTSLOPES and Merit Travel HIGHLY recommend purchasing travel insurance. There are two coverages to consider; Trip Cancellation/Interruption insurance helps cover you in the case something goes wrong with the trip itself. Aiding in issues that may arise from weather related travel delays among other things. Travel Health Insurance covers issues that may arise from sickness or injury while traveling. Many provincial, state, or private healthcare plans have limited or no coverage when traveling out of province or country. Supplemental Travel Health Insurance is highly recommended. Merit Travel offers coverage options at time of purchase. Or you can secure your own with a 3rd party provider of your choice.

OUTSLOPES CARPOOL
The economical way to travel. Travel with OUTSLOPES Trip Coordinator Ian Watson from Toronto to Le Germain Hotel and back again.
To use this option you need to have flexible travel hours, and a lot of patience.
Be advised, this will be a long road trip. There will be lots and lots of stops and breaks along the way. Ian needs smoke breaks, has a small bladder, and drinks a lot of coca-cola. It’s a recipe for a LONG road-trip.
Wed Feb 28 – 7pm – Meetup in the Church-Wellesley Village. Anticipate arriving at the hotel around 10am on Thursday. No guarantee that rooms will be available for early check-in, so you may have to hang around the lobby for a while or go explore the village. You will be on your own. Ian will be going to sleep in preparation for picking people up from the airport later.
Departure from Le Massif will be entirely dependant on trip popularity and demands. Anticipating departure to be around 8pm with arrival back in Toronto around 10am(+/- 2+ hours) on Monday. (There will be an extended driver nap break along the way back).
This option is not a shuttle service or anything pro. It’s a carpool. If you’re not completely relaxed, fluid with travel times, and very patient, then pick a different option. There’s zero expectation of service level with this option.
But it could be fun. We’ll take turns with music playlists off our phones. So prep yours to impress. Winner of best playlist gets bragging rights.

SAVE ON BAGGAGE FEES

The OUTSLOPES Carpool will be departing Toronto on Wednesday Feb 28, 2018. This option will get all your bags directly to Le Germain hotel from Toronto where they will be waiting for you.
All you have to do is arrange with Trip Coordinator Ian Watson and get him your bags before he leaves the city. He can bring them back for you as well.
While there’s lots of space for bags, bags do add weight and therefore fuel. So we’re asking for a suggested contribution of $25 per person (round-trip) for all your bags (suitcase, skis, boots, etc.) to handle your luggage for you.
