How would you love to combine an ultimate ski vacation with an epic high seas cruise vacation?
Already an industry leader in innovative cruise ship design, Royal Caribbean announced their newest ship to their fleet; The "Piste of the Seas", scheduled to set sail in 2021.
A first of its kind, the ship will accommodate a full size ski resort complete with five real snow runs, a lift and après-ski restaurants, bars and spa.
While we may be used to spectacular views while riding up the lift, the ocean views the top of Mount Mast the Piste of the Seas lift are truly unique.
Mount Mast aboard the Piste of the Seas offers 5 "real snow" runs to enjoy. Just be sure to stay in boundary, as off-piste the drop is kinda far with a very wet landing.
After enjoying a day on Mount Mast, kick back and enjoy a few cold ones on the back deck overlooking the spectacular ocean.
Not just any old cruise ship will offer you a true mountain experience with a rustic log-cabin feel. Limited quantity though, so book early!
Relax after a hard day shredding the slopes of Mount Mast. Hit up the spa, or opt for a nordic deep tissue massage.
While it may all sound too good to be true, the truth is... it is. Royal Caribbean's April Fools day joke this year went a little too far, getting our hopes up, then dashing them. They went all out with their promo of it though, even building a small interactive ship map for their website.
But we shall remain hopeful that sometime in the future some cruise line will be just ridiculous enough to take a project like this on. And we'll be the first in line to book our trip!
