The folks at Every Third Thursday, a show produced by Signal Snowboards, recently did a killer project.
They start visiting a barrel making plant in Alabama. Â "No two barrels are ever alike". Â The Cooperage barrel making plant builds the barrels that will eventually make their way to Lynchburg, Tennessee. Â Here the barrels sit for between 4 to 7 years, filled with Jack Daniel's whiskey.
After being emptied, and charcoal filtered, the whiskey makes it's way into bottles, and the barrels' lives are complete. Â Or are they?
Many very creative products are made out of the retired barrels, but the guys at ETT took a couple and turned them into whiskey soaked snowboards. "Wow, you can smell it".
Once completed, and of course after a celebratory shot of JD, they take it out for a ride at Mammoth Mountain.
